A motorcyclist is said to be hospitalized after his bike burst into flames following a collision with a Toyota Corolla motor car.
An eyewitness says the accident occurred a little after 5 o'clock on Sunday morning near the Mongiraud Hill.
The victim, Martin Rosemond of Bishop's gap in Castries is said to have been making his way home after the Easter Fiesta show which was held at the Gaiety on Rodney Bay.
The fire service has confirmed the incident saying that Rosemond was stabilized on the scene and taken to the Victoria Hospital where he is currently nursing his wounds.
The eyewitness also told Radio Saint Lucia news that persons tried to loot the motor cycle parts as soon as the flames subdued.
Meanwhile, PRO of the Fire Service, Hilton Ochulien said another accident took place during the Easter holiday.
Mr. Ochhulien said on Monday around 10:40 a.m., a Coaster came into contact with a utility pole just near the old Fire Station Headquarters on Jeremie Street.
"It was carrying some passengers, tourist to be exact, 10 of them were taken to hospital for minor bruises and shock treatment but no serious injuries occurred from that accident," said Mr. Ochulien.
