Dennery carnival launch signals the opening of the carnival 2KWine
Well its official.The community of Dennery will start off the Nothing Sweeter Than That, Lucian Carnival season.
Chairperson of the Dennery Carnival Committee, Perpetua James says that the programme of activities will be launch this Sunday May 17th.
Ms.James promises that the launch of Dennery Carnival will be a celebration like no other.
A special sprucing up of this year's carnival in Dennery, she says is the reintroduction of the Calypso competition alongside the Dennery Carnival Queen Pageant.
The carnival queen contests will be introduced to the general public and the calypsonians will make their first performances.
Patrons are invited to come view the costumes and to register with the various bands.
