Grace Community Rocked
48-year-old Jeannette Louis also known as Nenette, was rushed to the hospital last night (May 7th), after being shot about 7:15 p.m.
Ms. Louis was at her home in Grace, Vieux Fort when two unknown men arrived and informed her that they had come to kill her.
At that point one of the men pulled out a firearm and shot her in the pelvic area.
The men then made their escape.
Neighbours suspect the attack may have something to do with a recent court case Louis was involved in over a land dispute.
Unconfirmed reports suggest police were previously in Grace inquiring about Louis and her whereabouts on the day in question.
Police say no one has been arrested in connection with this incident, however investigations into the matter are continuing.
