Special Sitting for Fallen Officer
Members of the legal fraternity and the family and friends of the late Corporal Vincent Trevor Peter will hold a special sitting at the Magistrate’s Court tomorrow.
During the sitting, some of the attendants will be paying tribute to the late officer.
Corporal Peter was gunned down near the Bank of St. Lucia Waterfront branch on Friday February 19, while providing security during a nightly deposit.
A post-mortem conducted on Peter’s body revealed that his cause of death was hemorrhagic shock, due to damaged brain vessels following multiple gunshot wounds.
The sitting will be held at 9 am at the ‘D’ Court.
Meanwhile preparations are being made for the funeral of the late Peter, which is scheduled to take place at 2:30 pm at the Cathedral.
His body will be laid to rest at the Choc cemetery.
