BEHIND THE COLLEGE ALL STARS STAGES VETERANS FOOTBALL INVITATIONAL
Behind the College All Stars Veterans Football team won the invitational Veterans knockout football tournament which took place Sunday at the ST. Mary's College Grounds.
In the Finals of the tournament they defeated Vieux Fort 2-1 on penalties after the final ended goaless in normal time.In the third place play-off VSADC won Caricom Masters one goal to nil a goal scored by President of The ST. Lucia Bar Association Andy George.
In the semi finals Behind The College All Stars won in a penalty shoot out over VSADC after a goaless draw while Vieux Fort edged out Caricom Masters 3-2.
In awards presented after the tournament:
61 year old Ernest "snor " Goddard got the award for the oldest player on the day. Former national midfielder Douglas "Ti Goat" Marcellin of Vieux Fort won the trophy for the most goals scored three. The best goal was scored by Andrew Phillip of Caricom Masters while Guy Jn Baptiste of Vieux Fort was named Tournament MVP.
