DALTON POLIUS RETURNS HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS
St. Lucian & Windwards under 19 all rounder Dalton Polius at present on a one year
cricket scholarship at Woodhouse Grove School in England will be returning to St. Lucia
for the Christmas Holidays, with his air travel being the courtesy of the English
institution.
Dalton Polius from reports from Woodhouse Grove has settled in extremely well and
scored 40 not out for the school in the first indoor fixture. The Gros Islet player is also
having an opportunity to practice at the Headingley Indoor Centre and is looking forward
to the summer of 2008, when he will compete for the school in various competitions in
England.
He was offered the scholarship after scoring a brilliant 170 when the Woodhouse Grove
toured St. Lucia early this year and played against his school, Castries Comprehensive
Secondary School. Before leaving for England, Dalton Polius represented the Windwards
when the West Indies Under 19 tournament was played in St. Kitts.
