LOCAL CRICKETERS CONTINUE TRIAL MATCHES
A battling half century from Captain Ked Cadasse and a hat trick from Alex Antoine were the highlights of the practice game for the national selectees played at the Beauchamp Cricket Ground on Sunday. Sent in to bat Cyrille Charles' 11 were dismissed for 169. Denis Louis 41, Cyrille Charles 39 and Mervin Wells 29 were the main contributors with the bat for Charles' 11. Alex Antoine 3/19, Dalton Polius 2/26 and Kurt Edwards 2/45 picked up wickets for Cadasses 11.
Needing 170 runs for victory, Cadasses 11 got off to a bad start losing Alex Antoine in the second over without scoring. Captain Cadasse 68 and Alleyne Prosper 33 occupied the crease long enough to ensure that their team won by 1 wicket. For Charles' 11 Mark Monfort bagged 3/24 and Otero Wilson 2/35.
Training is expected to continue this week at the Mindoo Phillip Park.
