LOCAL CROSS COUNTRY RUNNERS PREPARE FOR NACAC CHAMPIONSHIPS
The ST.Lucia Athletics Association staged its's Local Cross Country run
in the Community of Roseau on Sunday.The run was held as ST.Lucia
continues it's preparations for the NACAC Cross Country Championships
to be held in Orlando Florida March 1st.
The event started outside ST.Lucia Distillers in Roseau and runners made
three laps of the challenging course which totaled 10,000 meters.
The event was won by Victor Ledgers in 31minutes 36.71 secs with Jason
Sayers in second place in 32 mins 08.23 secs.Slyverius Vidal was third in a
time of 35 minutes 36.38secs.
The female division was won by Dallas Scott in 40 minutes 19.38 secs with
Shoshanna Vidal in second place in a time of 47 minutes 12.26 secs with
Slyvie Willis third in 50 minutes 28.03 secs.
The local athletics association will name ST.Lucia's team for the
championship shortly.
