OECS NETBALL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP POSTPONED
The OECS Champion of Champions Netball Tournament has been postponed to a date in the first quarter on 2008.
In the later part of this year the OECS Sports Desk secured sponsorship for this event from the regional private sector and along with the host country St Vincent and the Grenadines set a date in December for the event.
After receiving information from four of the Member States Netball Federations that they were experiencing difficulties in obtaining time off for their players at this time of year as well as difficulties in purchasing airline seats, the host country along with the OECS Sports Desk made a decision to now have the tournament in early 2008
The sponsor after being made aware of the difficulties the Member State Champion Clubs were experiencing is fully understanding of the situation and looks forward to an exciting and successful tournament next year.
