WEST INDIES WOMENS CRICKET TOURNAMENT ENDS HERE

The curtains came down on the Senior West Indies Women cricket tournament here recently  with an awards ceremony at the Golf and Country Club at Cap Estate.

Following brief remarks by President of the SLNCA - Bryan Calixte, America 's Representative on the ICC Womens Cricket Committee- Carol Whilby Maxwell, Minister for Sports - Lennard Montoute, Manager's representative - Majorie Thomas and Coaches representative - Dwayne Gill, the following awards were presented:

Most Runs - Stephanie Taylor (Jam)

Most Wickets - Phernel Charles (SVG)

Most Catches- Maria David (SLU)

Most Outstanding Wicket Keeper - Merissa Aguierera (T&T)

MVP of Tournament - Stephanie Taylor (Jam)

Championship trophy - Jamaica .

Trinidad & Tobago finished second, followed by Barbados third, , St Lucia fourth , Guyana  fifth, St Vincent sixth , Grenada seventh  and Dominica eighth.
