Filmmaker and Director of Bollywood, the action movie maker Mr. Rohit Shetty has arranged for 8 hotels across the city of Mumbai. These 8 hotels are his own hotels which he opened up for all the on-duty Mumbai Police officers. The policemen will be allowed to take rest and have meals in these hotels amidst the lockdown, fighting COVID-19.
This news or information was made public through the official Twitter handle of the Mumbai Police. The Mumbai Police Tweeted and thanked the “Singham” filmmaker for such a kind gesture to help.
“#RohitShetty has facilitated eight hotels across the city for our on-duty #CovidWarriors to rest, shower & change with arrangements for breakfast & dinner.”
“We thank him for this kind gesture and for helping us in #TakingOnCorona and keeping Mumbai safe,” is what the Mumbai Police Tweeted.
Rohit Shetty has always been such helpful to Bombay as and when required. He had earlier donated 51 lakh, for the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE). This was to help or support the labor class workers in the cinema industry during the wake of the lockdown for the coronavirus.
Before Rohit Shetty had offered his hotels, his Simba star Mr. Sonu Sood had offered his hotels for the care and isolation of the medical staff, nurses, and other healthcare workers who are fighting COVID-19.
On the other hand, other stars like Shahrukh Khan and Gauri Khan have offered their 4-storeyed personal office building in Bombay for the treatment of the COVID patients.
