In an exciting move for Netflix, Hollywood heavyweights George Clooney and Adam Sandler are joining forces for an upcoming untitled project directed by Noah Baumbach. Baumbach, known for his exclusive deal with the streaming giant, co-wrote the script alongside Emily Mortimer, adding another layer of star power to the production.
While plot details remain shrouded in mystery, the film promises to deliver a perfect blend of humor and emotion, focusing on the coming-of-age experiences of adults. This collaboration marks the first-time pairing of Clooney and Sandler, bringing together two A-listers for what is anticipated to be a cinematic delight.
No stranger to Netflix, Baumbach previously directed films like “The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected),” featuring Sandler, as well as the critically acclaimed “Marriage Story” and the recent hit “White Noise.” Notably, Baumbach succeeded beyond the director’s chair by co-writing the year’s highest-grossing movie, “Barbie,” alongside partner Greta Gerwig.
Sandler, a Netflix regular, has been busy in 2023, starring in multiple projects for the platform, including “Murder Mystery 2” and “You Are So Not Invited To My Bat Mitzvah.” Apart from that, he has also done the voice-over for the animated Leo for the platform. Don’t you think this venture will surely add to his net worth?
For Clooney, the Netflix venture adds to his diverse portfolio following his recent directorial project, “Boys in the Boat,” set to release this Christmas. Additionally, Clooney is set to reunite with Brad Pitt in the Apple production “Wolfs,” where he stars and takes on a producing role, with the film slated for a 2024 release.
