The Judge Assigned To Trump’s Indictment Case Has History With Jan 6 Cases!

Trump’s Indictment Case

On January 6, 2021, the attack on the USA’s Capitol directly insulted American democracy as the former President, Donald Trump, encouraged violence by exploiting people through campaigns based on lies.

Jack Smith’s office, the Justice Department’s special counsel, has been investigating Trump concerning his involvement in the violent riots. Smith also claims that the rioters on January 6 were supporters of Trump. Hence he is being held responsible.

Donald Trump, former president of the United States of America, has been indicted on four accounts related to all efforts instigating conspiracy against the official proceedings and the rights of the citizens.

Judge S. Chutkan is no stranger to the obstruction and tampering of the presidential election 2020, where Trump has been accused of trying to overturn the outcomes! She gives the toughest of penalties in federal cases related to January 6.

She has stated that she is not in support of violence used to overthrow the government, assaulting the rights of the people. So, it was not surprising that she was assigned to the case of the latest indictment against former president Donal Trump.

On August 1, 2023, Trump was indicted by the special counsel, who spent months investigating and addressing the charges levied on four counts.

It has been informed that Trump is being held accountable for conspiring against the United States through fraud. He has also been charged with obstructing the election victory of the current President, Joe Biden.

Chutkan has a history with former president Donal Trump as previously she has also rejected a request made by Trump to prevent the House Jan.6 committee from accessing White House official documents related to the Capitol riot from his administration.

The judge’s decision has helped the committee obtain documents from the National Archives, thus, evaluating the actions of Trump and his administration’s involvement in the riots. So her being assigned to the case just a coincidence, or is something else at play here?
