Vaibhav Taneja has been named Chief Financial Officer at Tesla because the previous CFO, Zachary Kirkhorn, announced his retirement. Taneja, who is 45 now, was appointed CFO, which is an addition to his current role as CAO (Chief Accounting Officer).
Vaibhav Taneja joined this company in 2017 when Tesla bought the company, which was known as Solar City. Since 2019 Taneja has been the top accounting person at Tesla. Mr. Taneja has served as CAO in Tesla since March 2019. He served as an Assistant Corporate Controller between February 2017 and May 2018.
The former CFO of Tesla, Mr. Kirkhorn, has served 13 years of tenure-ship with the Elon Musk-led American electronic vehicle (EV) gain, which was described as one of the most, “Tremendous and expansion growth” in the company.
Tesla further thanks Mr. Kirkhorn for his crucial contributions. After stepping down from the position, Mr. Kirkhorn will serve Tesla continuously across the end of the year as the support. On Monday former CFO Mr. Kirkhorn said in one post on LinkedIn, “This morning Tesla announced that I’ve stepped down from my role as Chief Financial Officer, succeeded by our Chief Accounting Officer, Vaibhav Taneja.”
He further stated on LinkedIn, “Being a part of this company is a special experience and I’m extremely proud of the work we’ve done together since I joined over 13 years ago. As I shift my responsibilities to support this transition, I want to thank the talented, passionate, and hard-working employees at Tesla, who have accomplished things many thought not possible.”
Taneja served employment at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the US and India between July 1999 and March 2016. He completed his graduation from DU (Delhi University). After All, Vaibhav Taneja has more than 17 years of experience with many MNC companies in several domains, including telecommunication, retail, and technology.
